Change is For GOOD

If you are thinking this post is gonna be a philosophy about how Change plays a role in our life and how it make difference in our life? You are wrong. This post is all about my new HAIRSTYLE.

I had a long hair right from the beginning when I started paying attention to my looks. Although I did had my hair trimmed to shorter lengths but I never thought of getting cropped nearly to baldness.

I thought lets give it a try and went ahead with a stone on my heart. Guess what I liked it, don;t know about others.

Soon I realized the benefits of short hair.

1. Less shampoo required to clean your hair.

2. Less oil required to apply on hair.

3. Less water required to clean hair.

4. Less time in fact no time required to set your hair.

5. Natural air conditioner and you never feel hot as you used to feel when you had long hair.

6. You feel light headed and helps you to concentrate more on your work since you don't have those long hair to ruin your concentration.

In short I realized change is for GOOD and my new hairstyle is good, no matter you like it or not.

Hello Happyness

You got it; this post is all about happYness. Well before I start with my views n thoughts let me post a dialogue from one of the must watch movie of Will Smith, "In the Pursuit of Happyness".

"It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson, the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking: How did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue. And maybe we can actually never have it, no matter what. How did he know that?"

Although the movie is a fantastic movie but what amused me the most was this dialogue. It sounds so right yet incomplete. It is right that we can only pursue happiness, but how to follow it? When we don't know where the happiness lies how can we follow it? Well, the answer lies with in us. Happiness lies with in you. It's you. No matter what the situation is, no matter what you are going through yet you can be happy.

I fell one can always be happy if he/she wants to be happy. I don't need any reason to be happy. I do agree I am a self-obsessed guy and I find no harm in it. Whenever I am in a bad mood I just close my eyes and imagine myself smiling, laughing and enjoying myself. It refreshes me so much, it gives me immense energy and pleasure.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where a stranger's smile brings a smile on to your face? Yes a genuine smile can make you happy, little moments and things can make you happy, for that matter even a stranger can make you happy.

As the VEDAS says, Answers to all the questions in this universe lies with in you. So go ahead and find the answer to your happiness and pursue it.

Oh! Do remember to say my hello when you meet your happiness.

My Thoughts on Some Commonly Used Proverbs.

We all have heard of proverbs and we all are aware of what they mean. In this post I would try to share my thoughts on some of these proverbs that we all must be aware of. These are just my views and meant no offense again anyone.

So sit back and enjoy it.

A man is known by the company he keeps OR as my colleagues says, A man is known by the company he OWNS.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. Read the price and the author first and it could be pirated too.

All that glitters is not gold. It could be Diamond or may be Platinum too.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. And no work and all play makes Jack a black boy.

Appearances are deceptive. Do you want to say the beautiful girl I met last night was not beautiful and she was not a girl?

Boys will be boys. Now what you want us to be? A sissy? Excuse me please.

Charity begins at home. At least my dad does not thinks so. He thinks free service starts from home.

Dead men tell no tales. No what you expect from a Dead Man? Sing n dance for you? Please Let his Soul Rest In Peace.

Great minds think alike. If that is true then why the hell we have so many theories? Please tell my teacher about the same.

Great talkers are little doers. I don't agree. Last time I messed up with my school bully, he said words I never understood, he was talking like some revolutionist leader . That is not all, he did lot more than I imagined in fact anybody would have imagined. I still got marks and I still remember those kicks.
Look after number one. Who would look after other numbers? It's inequality, we would do strike against it. *Next day Kerala calls strike for the same*

Never mix your liquor. Have you not heard of cocktails? Sheeshhhh. It's more fun.

To err is human, to forgive divine. So, remember to forgive and follow the path of divine and let me make mistakes and live as a normal human.

Vande Mataram

"At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new...India discovers herself again."
 Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru
(on Indian Independence Day, 1947)

August 15th, 1947: India creates a history. An Independent democratic country is born with a vision to make big in Global world and prove its potential by respecting every person's right, respecting peace, spreading love and to serve the humanity.

This year India completes 61 years of independence and we have come a long way since the day one. We have progressed a lot and have proved our worth in the global front too. Yet, we have long way to go.

India has time and again proved her worth in every field be those sports, entertainment, science and technology, literature, defense, spirituality and many more.

WE still have long way to go and we still need to progress more. We have the 2nd largest population in the world yet we are growing strong in terms of education, infrastructure and economy and in other aspects too. We have almost 75% of population under the age of 35, which is a good sign for progress.

Each country has some or the other shortcomings, so do India have. It's up to us (the citizens of India) to make sure that we still follow the path of peace and respect each other's right. Lets not forget "Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Isahi, Hum Sab Hai Bhai Bhai". No matter which religion, region or caste you are from, we all are one and we respect each other. It's up to us to make the difference. It's up to us to help our society and bring smile on every face in the world.

On this occasion of our independence lets remember the sacrifice made by our Jawans. Lets realize how worthy our independence and how many have laid their lives so that we can enjoy our independence.

I am an INDIAN and I am proud to be an INDIAN.

Kung Fu Panda

The Word of Wisdom By Master Oogway:-

One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.

It's true that more you try to avoid certain situations you would land up facing the same. It's not smart to run away from certain and there is no fun in it. Life is all about facing the toughest situations and winning over it. It's the path that you take which would decide your FATE.

Your Mind is like this water my friend. When its agitated it becomes difficult to see but when you allow it to settle the answer becomes clear.

I strongly agree with this statement. Mind works at it's best when its calm. For example you can study and grasp more knowledge when the environment around you is peaceful. When you are angry or too much excited about certain situation, it may happen that you may ignore or miss few things, which may be very important.

There is just News, there is no GOOD or BAD.

Yes news is news; it cannot be good or bad. It depends upon our perception how we take it. News, which may sound BAD for one could be GOOD for another. So GOOD or BAD its our PERCEPTION.

Look at this, I cannot make it blossom when it suits me nor make it bear fruit before time.

This statement made by Oogway about Peach Tree to ShiFu talks the basic fundamental that you cannot control the destiny of others. What the best you can do is move along with it. Rather than focusing on gaining power to rule others one should focus more in how well they can go along with others. If one believes he has the power to control or rule others he is making a fool of himself.

To make something special you just have to believe its special.

This statement made by Po's Dad while revealing the secret ingredient of his soup has motivated me a lot. It's true that to make something special you don't have to add anything special to it. All you need is a faith. Self-Confidence is the key to success.

KUNG FU PANDA is really a must watch movie. It's simple, fantastic, funny and a great lesson for one and all. I personally suggest you to watch this movie.

I started this blog to express my thoughts and views about certain things and I would not be doing justice to my readers if I don't express my thoughts on the recent blast that shook our country and showed yet another ugly, coward face of the terrorist.

This blog is pointed straight to those merciless, coward and ugly people.

First and foremost don't call yourself an Indian Mujahideen. You are not Indian bloody fakes. You all are mere cowards who do not have the guts to fight face to face.

Second. Don't say you are doing all this in the name of Allah. Allah never gave you any right to kill innocent people. Each human is son/daughter of the supreme power and you have no rights to destroy them. You are not the followers of Allah but selfish and greedy people who are running after money and power.

Third. Your motives would never be fulfilled, as you are the ones who are walking on the evil path not those innocent people whom you killed. Those innocent people who belong to every religion be that Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist or Parsi or any other.

Fourth. We are not afraid of you losers. We would always stand UNITED to fight against you bloody hypocrite suckers.

We are not known by our religion we are known by our nation, by humanity. We are INDIANS and we stand UNITED against all odds.

I received a very funny email from my friend Tania. I would like to share it with you guys.

I wonder what made her to email me that mail. Seems like all are aware of the fact that I am doing my research on 'SHIT'.

In India we don't need reasons to start our own political party. It's a democratic country and don't be surprise if I start my own party named after 'SHIT'. After all in Indian politics everything is 'SHIT'.

Anyways back to the email. So go through the email and enjoy.

I just hope you guys won' t kill me next time when we meet.

Finding Peace In Solitude

means total privacy and isolation from others.
To be in solitude means to be alone and in silence.

We are living in a phase where we have no time for each other. All are busy in their own life but for whom?

Youngsters working hard day and night for money, for success, to survive. Each one of us is pushing our own limits to make the loose ends meet.

Seeing her husband working hard and still not able to meet all expenses, she starts working too (either part time or full time). Together they work to give better future to their kids, working hard for the happiness of their kids. But are they giving time and love their kids need?

Each one of us are busy in their own life either to fulfill the dreams of their parents, kids, wife/husband, girlfriend/boyfriend or of them self. Yet, are we living for our self?

We all are living the life of others, hence we forget to live our own life. Its not that when you live life of other person they live the double life. They too are living life of someone else. The greed for more has made us forget to enjoy what we have now and by the time we regret it gets too late.

My question to all of you is what is the purpose of your life? Have you ever lived for your self? Ask your heart, to yourself and most of you get an answer as NO or I don't know.

Even I never lived for myself but I am trying. In this busy life even if you get no time for others, spend at least few hours with yourself. Be clear with your thoughts and try to find peace in you.

Until and unless you are at peace how can you offer peace to others? The smile on others face begins from your own eyes. Until you see that smile how can you feel it?

Solitude is not wrong and isolation is never bad. Picture gets clear when you are calm. An unrest river shows a shaky reflection of yours; only a river when calm can show you a clear picture.

Slang - Shlang

After I received good response for my recent post “Shit Happens”, I thought to study more about other slang.

I found many of these slang very funny and amazed me a lot. I thought to share some with you guys. So here are few of them I came across.

Holy Shit : The most common generic expressions for surprise. Now isn’t that funny, how can shit be HOLY? Well I don’t want to discuss more on this term as I don’t want Shiv Sena to attack me or Bush to attack my home.

Ape Shit : This means go berserk. Who ever introduced this slang, if you are alive and if you are in India, you soon going to be in a big trouble by our Animal Lover Menaka Gandhi . So better you scrap this slang or go undercover.

Cancer Stick : Well any guesses? Yes it’s the slang used for cigarette. Well it sure does gives a warning note to all you smokers. So next time you go out to that panwalahs remember to use this slang. “Hey Panwaley Bhaiya, gimme a cancer stick.”

Commando : Now this one is really funny. This slang means to go without ones underwear. Now how the hell you get that slang? Is it like you did a research on Commando and you found they never wear their underwear or something? I always thought the term Commando means ‘a small fighting force specially trained for making quick destructive raids against enemy-held areas.’

Ice : This slang means fancy jewelry, more specifically diamonds. So next time when your wife/girlfriend says bring me some ice, please don’t rush to the refrigerator, instead check your bank balance.

Who Opened Their Lunch? : Now this slang made me fall from my chair laughing. This slang means : All rite, Who farted? Now next time when you are in conference or in a gathering etc and you smell that awful smell, you can put this question without losing your decency.

Would be writing more about such slang in my next post. So keep checking guys.
