SHAME

Hi. I am a Mallu or to be specific I am a Keralite and famously known in North India as Madrasi. Well they call every South Indian as Madrasi. Whatever...

Well there are many like me who are born and bought up in here. Our family is settled in here and we are part and parcel of this big city. I met many youngsters who are not ready to accept the fact that they are Mallu. They are not ready to recognize them self as Mallu and want to be acknowledged as Delhite. It’s totally OK as they are born and bought up in here.

We all are Indians and we all are aware of the fact that although there are many states in India we all are one. Then why are we not ready to accept each other as we are? British started this policy of divide and rule and now some politicians are doing it for their personal benefits.

Why it is so hard for us to accept our identity and why it is so hard to gel with others. North East citizen are treated badly and so do people from other states. We all are moving towards globalization and India is roaring ahead over taking many big developed countries. We should be proud of it.

Its really shame how some politicians is trying to divide the country for their personal benefits and to add to it there are many active members of these groups who supports such cause.

North East Citizens are treated badly, Foreigners are sexually assaulted, and kids are killed and raped. Its hard to believe the fact we were once ruled by great leaders like Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chander Bose, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and many more.

We the citizens of India are forgetting the principles and rules that were taught to us by our ancestors.

Lets unite together and please let's respect each other.

Love all

read ur blog and what came to my mind is that its just a question of what one believes in, its not an identity crisis, why pick up only on being a keralite, many who are living in Delhi irrespective of which unit of India they belong to feel part n parcel of the capital city and have identified themselves with it. What is good about any culture can be absorbed and what is not just needs to be done away with.........there is no shame about what u r n who u are....everything depends on that. cheers, god bless.
